The Athenaeum Gallery is one of Alexandria’s two surviving examples of Greek revival neo-classic architecture open to the public. The elegant rooms have 24-foot high coved ceilings, enormous windows, and beautiful woodwork. The exterior features four soaring Doric columns across the portico and walls of stucco over stone and brick. Prices range from $2,765 to $3465. There is an 80-guest maximum.

Hollin Hall: This spacious, historic estate features beautiful stunning sites for both the ceremony and reception, as well as overnight accommodations for up to 20 family members and friends. The rental fee is $3,600.

The Woodlands at Algonkian: This elegant event space is in the Algonkian Regional Park in Sterling, Virginia. The primary room, which holds up to 200 guests, features high ceilings, a stone fireplace, and a dance floor.

The Atrium at Meadowlark features exposed brick walls, a glass-enclosed cathedral ceiling, and a large terrace overlooking the botanical gardens. They can accommodate 230 guests, with standing room for 300. The venue features gazebos, Bell Garden, and Lilac Pavilion for photography and other event options at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. Great Blue Heron provides full on-site catering for any event at The Atrium.

Birkby House was built in the 1770s. Thomas Birkby's estate includes the Main House, the Carriage House, the meticulously landscaped gardens, and the gazebo. A beautiful tented courtyard features chandeliers and specialty lighting. It accommodates about 200 seated guests or 225 guests for a standing reception. Within the house, rooms seat up to 50 people.

Rust Manor House : This historic mansion features a parlor, dining room, library, and surrounding gardens. It is in a 68-acre nature sanctuary.
